First posting: The Goode Diary

Overwhelmed as I am by the mountain of comments and avalanche of congratulations that has been prompted by my "Happy New Year 2005" posting, I've decided to start an inclusion in my daily public notes, of a different weblog or diary that I've found online in during my endless cybernavigation exercises.

Hence, here is the first sample: The Goode Diary: A Personal Journal Of The Northern Transcontinental Survey (1883). He was a surveyor in Washington and Oregon.
